Bringing comfort to childhood cancer patients

Over the summer, Thrivent reached out, asking if they could partner with us to help bring comfort to cancer patients at Children's Health hospital of Plano. We loved their offer of assistance and welcomed their support. Together we coordinated a plan with Children's to procure, pack and deliver needed care items as well as fun toys and prizes to bring the kids some cheer - all part of Children's summer campaign "Bring the Magic in July", an annual gift-in-kind donation drive.

We would like to thank Thrivent for partnering with us to bring comfort to cancer patients at Children's Health Hospital of Plano and we hope to be able to do more together in the future.

August Update

Over the summer CAC applied for a grant seeking funding to bring The Lounge to life. If you or anyone you know can recommend a grant program that might be a good fit, we're happy to hear from you.

Our plan for the future is The Lounge, which will be a walk-in location where cancer patients can come to enjoy fresh made bakery goods as well as a cup of coffee or tea or just get away from home for an hour.

Introducing Hip Hop and Hopalong

These two loveable Frogs are Kings of the Forest and ponds. They love putting on great night time concerts while singing, dancing and hopping around. Hip Hop and Hopalong are full of energy. They are made with love and ready to bring comfort to a cancer patient.
